Brownies

Chocolate is one of the many things I love so I decided to try a recipe for brownies this week. It's fairly simple, quick (it takes 30 minutes all together) and delicious. Let me just say that they went as fast as they were made. I got the recipe from the site called Okusno.je. It's written in slovene (all my fellow Slovenians can get it with just a click on the link). For those who don't speak slovene here is the recipe.

Utensils:

- Saucepan
- Weighing scales
- Bowl
- 2 Spoons (one for the melting chocolate and one for mixing ingredients)
- Baking pan/tray
- Dish
- Electric mixer

Ingredients (for 12 people; for 6 people just use half of the ingredients quantity):

- 250  g butter
- 250  g dark chocolate
- 2 cl rum (I used 1 shot-glass)
- 250  g brown or white sugar
- 10  g vanilla sugar
- 180  g flour
- 50  g cocoa powder
- 5 eggs (in case you're making it for 6 people use 3 eggs)
- 20  g butter (for buttering up the pan)

First & Second stage of Method

The Method:

1.)     Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan and stir it until you have smooth mixture. Preferably  use  dark chocolate with more than 45 % of cocoa content. It gives richer flavour. Remove saucepan from the stove and mix rum into the melted chocolate. Let it cool a little.
2.)     Mix suggar, flour, cocoa powder and vanilla sugar in a big bowl. Add melted chocolate mix and eggs. Mix all together with an electric mixer so that you get unified and smooth mixture.
3.)     Preheat the oven to 180°C/356°F. Butter up a baking pan and pour the mixture into the pan. Bake it for 20 minutes. When it's baked let it cool off. Cut the brownies into squares and serve them.

Bon appétit!
